Hadith of the day : He found his money

Narrated Abu Huraira The Prophet said,

“A man from Bani Israel asked someone from Bani Israel to give him a loan of one thousand Dinars and the later gave it to him. The debtor went on a voyage (when the time for the payment of the debt became due) but he did not find a boat, so he took a piece of wood and bored it and put 1000 diners in it and threw it into the sea. The creditor went out and took the piece of wood to his family to be used as fire−wood.” , “When he sawed the wood, he found his money.”

Better than begging…

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “No doubt, it is better for a person to take a rope and proceed in the morning to the mountains and cut the wood and then sell it, and eat from this income and give alms from it than to ask others for something.”

Allah will make him self−sufficient….

Narrated Hakim bin Hizam The Prophet said,

“The upper hand is better than the lower hand (i.e. he who gives in charity is better than him who takes it). One should start giving first to his dependents. And the best object of charity is that which is given by a wealthy person (from the money which is left after his expenses). And whoever abstains from asking others for some financial help, Allah will give him and save him from asking others, Allah will make him self−sufficient.”

They have reached the result of what they forwarded…

Narrated `Aisha :
The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, “Don’t abuse the dead, because they have reached the result of what they forwarded.”

He is shown his place…

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar : Allah’s Apostle said,

“When anyone of you dies, he is shown his place both in the morning and in the evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise; he is shown his place in it, and if he is from the people of the Hell−Fire; he is shown his place there−in. Then it is said to him, ‘This is your place till Allah resurrect you on the Day of Resurrection.”

Patience is at the first stroke of a calamity…

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The Prophet passed by a woman who was weeping beside a grave. He told her to fear Allah and be
patient. She said to him, “Go away, for you have not been afflicted with a calamity like mine.” And she did not recognize him. Then she was informed that he was the Prophet . so she went to the house of the Prophet and there she did not find any guard. Then she said to him, “I did not recognize you.” He said,

“Verily, the patience is at the first stroke of a calamity.”

Do not mourn for more than three days…

Narrated Zainab bint Abi Salama:

When the news of the death of Abu Sufyan reached from Sham, Um Habiba on the third day, asked for a yellow perfume and scented her cheeks and forearms and said, “No doubt, I would not have been in need of this, had I not heard the Prophet saying: “It is not legal for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for more than three days for any dead person except her husband, for whom she should mourn for four months and ten days.”

A woman whose three children died…

Narrated Abu Sa`id: The women requested the Prophet,

“Please fix a day for us.”

So the Prophet preached to them and said,
“A woman whose three children died would be screened from the Hell Fire by them,” Hearing that, a woman asked, “If two died?” The Prophet replied, “Even two (would screen her from the (Hell) Fire. ” And Abu Huraira added, “Those children should be below the age of puberty. “

Seven things…

Narrated Al−Bara’ bin `Azib: Allah’s Apostle ordered us to do seven things and forbade us to do other seven.

He ordered us: to follow the funeral procession.to visit the sick, to accept invitations, to help the oppressed, to fulfill the oaths, to return the greeting and to reply to the sneezer: (saying, “May Allah be merciful on you,” provided the sneezer says, “All the praises are for Allah,”).

He forbade us to use silver utensils and dishes and to wear golden rings, silk (clothes), Dibaj (pure silk cloth), Qissi and Istabraq (two kinds of silk cloths).

Better than one thousand prayers…

Narrated Abu Huraira Allah’s Apostle said, “One prayer in my Mosque is better than one thousand prayers in any other mosque excepting Al−Masjid−AI−Haram.”
