Neither buy, nor take back your alms which you have given..

Narrated `Umar:
Once I gave a horse in Allah’s Cause (in charity) but that person did not take care of it. I intended to buy it, as I thought he would sell it at a low price. So, I asked the Prophet (p.b.u.h) about it. He said, “Neither buy, nor take back your alms which you have given, even if the seller were willing to sell it for one Dirham, for he who takes back his alms is like the one who swallows his own vomit.”

Take me ahead…

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri : Allah’s Apostle said,

“When the funeral is ready (for its burial) and the people lift it on their shoulders, then if the deceased is a righteous person he says, ‘Take me ahead,’ and if he is not a righteous one then he says, ‘Woe to it (me)! Where are you taking it (me)?’ And his voice is audible to everything except human beings; and if they heard it they would fall down unconscious . “

Punishment in the grave…

Narrated Masruq:
`Aisha said that a Jewess came to her and mentioned the punishment in the grave, saying to her, “May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave.” `Aisha then asked Allah’s Apostle about the punishment of the grave. He said,

“Yes, (there is) punishment in the grave.” `Aisha added, “After that I never saw Allah’s Apostle but seeking refuge with Allah from the punishment in the grave in every prayer he prayed.”

Prayer at the time of a solar eclipse (SALATUL KUSOOF)…

To offer 2 rak’ats of prayer at the time of a solar eclipse is Sunnah. It will be performed just like 2 rak’ats of Nafl Salaah. The solar eclipse prayer should be offered in congregation provided the Imaam of the congregation is the Imaam of Jumma prayer. Azaan and iqamat should not be given for such a prayer, but to call the people to such a prayer, an announcement should be made in this manner; ‘Gather for Prayer’. It is Sunnah to recite lengthy surahs in such prayers and stay longer in Ruku and Sajdah. It is optional to recite aloud or quietly. Immediately after concluding the prayer, the Imaam should devote himself to Dua and the Dua should continue up to the end of the eclipse. But if in this condition the sun sets or the time of any prescribed prayer comes, the Dua should be concluded and the prayer of the time should be offered.
Note:  If for some reason, the Imaam is not available, then people should perform Salaah individually.

If you forgets how many rak`at has prayed…

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “When anyone of you stands for the prayers, Satan comes and puts him in doubts till he forgets how many rak`at he has prayed. So if this happens to anyone of you, he should perform two prostrations of Sahu while sitting.

Pray till the eclipse is over…

Narrated `Aisha:
Once the sun eclipsed and Allah’s Apostle stood up for the prayer and recited a very long Sura and when bowed for a long while and then raised his head and started reciting another Sura. Then he bowed, and after finishing, he prostrated and did the same in the second rak`a and then said,

“These (lunar and solar eclipses) are two of the signs of Allah and if you see them, pray till the eclipse is over. No doubt, while standing at this place I saw everything promised to me by Allah and I saw (Paradise) and I wanted to pluck a bunch (of grapes) therefrom, at the time when you saw me stepping forward. No doubt, I saw Hell with its different parts destroying each other when you saw me retreating and in it I saw `Amr bin Luhai who started the tradition of freeing animals (set them free) in the name of idols.”

Four things…

Narrated Qaza’a Maula: (freed slave of) Ziyad: I heard Abu Sa`id Al-khudri narrating four things from the Prophet and I appreciated them very much. He said, conveying the words of the Prophet.

(1) “A woman should not go on a two day journey except with her husband or a Dhi-Mahram.

(2) No fasting is permissible on two days: `Id-ul-Fitr and `Id-ul-Adha.

(3) No prayer after two prayers, i.e. after the Fajr prayer till the sunrises and after the `Asr prayer till the sun sets.

(4) Do not prepare yourself for a journey except to three Mosques, i.e. Al-Masjid-AI-Haram, the Mosque of Aqsa (Jerusalem) and my Mosque.”
